Boston transit cops need help ID'ing man who spit in 61-year-old woman's face on the Orange Line

MBTA Transit Police say the suspect accused the woman of bumping him on a train near Roxbury Crossing on July 6, then spit in her face.

BOSTON — Boston transit police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who spit in a 61-year-old woman's face on an Orange Line train near Roxbury Crossing earlier this month.
The MBTA Transit Police Department posted surveillance photos of the suspect to X on Tuesday night. According to the department, the man accused the woman of bumping into him aboard the train at about 7 p.m. on Monday, July 6. He responded by spitting in her face.

What MBTA Transit PD is asking

Investigators say the suspect is a young male with short dark hair. In the released stills he is wearing a plain black t-shirt, blue Adidas track pants with two thin black stripes down the leg, and light gray sneakers. He is carrying a backpack.
