A Target employee in Milford called 911 Tuesday evening to report an intoxicated, nude woman inside the store. By the time officers arrived she had left on foot — but police found her nearby in a red Subaru with crack cocaine, fentanyl and five open arrest warrants between the three occupants.

MILFORD — A woman walked into a Milford Target intoxicated and naked on Tuesday evening. By the time police arrived she had put her clothes back on and vanished on foot — with visible blood on her clothing. What officers found next in the vacant Best Buy parking lot next door — three people in a red Subaru Forester with crack cocaine, fentanyl and five open arrest warrants between them — turned a strange 911 call into three arrests.
At about 7:25 p.m. on July 7, an employee at the Target on Fortune Boulevard called Milford Public Safety Communications Center to report an intoxicated, nude female inside the store, according to Milford Police. During the call the caller told dispatchers that the woman had put her clothes back on and left the store on foot — and that there was visible blood on her clothing.
Responding officers began checking the area and located a red Subaru Forester in the nearby vacant Best Buy parking lot occupied by a male operator and two female passengers, one of whom matched the description Target employees had provided.

What officers found

During the interaction, according to Milford Police, officers discovered the Subaru and its occupants were carrying both crack cocaine and fentanyl.
Chmiel — the Rhode Island resident matching the description from Target — was charged with possession of a Class A substance (fentanyl), obstruction of justice, and is being held on five active arrest warrants.
Mahler was charged with possession of a Class B substance (crack cocaine).
McCusker was charged with possession of a Class A substance (fentanyl) and disturbing the peace.
Milford Police announced the arrests on Friday.
