BOSTON — Detectives are asking the public to help identify two masked suspects seen riding a moped in tandem near the scene of a shots-fired incident on Schuyler Street in Roxbury last week.

The Boston Police Department's District B-2 station released a surveillance image Tuesday showing the pair — both dressed in dark clothing and wearing black masks — travelling down Schuyler Street toward Elm Hill Avenue. The gunfire was reported on June 30, according to a community alert from the department.

Investigators say the two suspects were operating the moped together at the time of the incident. Detectives assigned to District B-2 are still reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding the shots fired and have not released additional details about a target, victims, or damage.

Schuyler Street runs through the heart of Roxbury near Franklin Park, and Elm Hill Avenue — where the pair was last seen heading — cuts through a densely residential stretch of the neighborhood.
