BOSTON — Boston Police are searching for a 70-year-old British tourist who disappeared from the Langham Hotel on Thursday and was last tracked to Downtown Crossing before vanishing into the lunchtime crowd.
Martin Hatton, who suffers from cognitive issues, was last seen leaving the luxury hotel at 250 Franklin Street, the Boston Police Department announced. Officers managed to track him to the Downtown Crossing area at approximately 12:27 PM, but the trail went cold from there.

Hatton is described as a white male of average height and build, with short white hair. He was last seen wearing a maroon sweater, maroon shorts, and black sneakers — distinctive enough to stand out in a downtown crowd.

He may be in the area of FIFA FanFest at City Hall Plaza, according to police — a setting that during major events draws large, shifting crowds that could disorient a confused elderly visitor.
Anyone with information on Hatton's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact District A-1 (Downtown) Detectives at (617) 343-4571. Tips can be submitted anonymously through the Boston Police CrimeStoppers line at 1-800-494-TIPS, or by texting "TIP" to CRIME (27463).
This is a developing story.
