MALDEN — A Brazilian illegal immigrant accused of assaulting a 16-year-old in Pennsylvania — and arrested in Massachusetts for larceny, auto break-ins, disorderly conduct, and receiving stolen property — was picked up by federal immigration agents during what the agency described as "targeted operations" in Malden, ICE Boston said Friday.

Raissa Vitoria Pedro Da Silva was arrested on April 21 by the Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston field office, the agency disclosed Friday on X.

In a follow-up post, the agency added that Da Silva had fled Pennsylvania after an "assault on a 16-year-old with video evidence" and would remain in ICE custody pending removal.

Da Silva's criminal record, per ICE, includes Massachusetts arrests for larceny, larceny from auto, disorderly conduct, and receiving stolen property.

Enforcement and Removal Operations is the ICE component that handles arrest, detention, and deportation of illegal immigrants. Its Boston field office covers all of New England.

ICE has not released additional detail about the underlying Pennsylvania case or about the Massachusetts cases against Da Silva — including which courts the charges are pending in, whether she had been arraigned, or the outcome of any of the prior Massachusetts arrests.

Da Silva remains in ICE custody pending removal.
