WASHINGTON — Democrats hoping to run for president in 2028 now need Elizabeth Warren's blessing, according to a new report from Axios.
California Governor Gavin Newsom, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, and New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are among the Democrats engaging the Massachusetts senator as they weigh 2028 campaigns, the report says.

Warren has built one of the deepest policy operations on the Hill, and her staff and former aides are scattered across the party's think tanks, campaigns, and progressive advocacy groups. Her endorsement in a Democratic primary carries real weight with the party's left flank.
