FALL RIVER — ICE Boston arrested a Haitian illegal immigrant in Fall River earlier this month with a pending case for kidnapping, strangulation, and family-violence assault — and an open Fall River Police Department rape investigation hanging over him from the same incident, federal officials disclosed Friday.
Roodiely Jean Louis was taken into federal custody during a targeted operation on May 13, ICE Boston's Enforcement and Removal Operations announced on X Friday morning.
His pending Massachusetts criminal charges, per the agency, include:

ICE Boston added in a follow-up post moments later that the Fall River Police Department is separately investigating Jean Louis for rape allegations tied to the same incident.
ICE Boston referred to Jean Louis as an "illegal alien from Haiti" in its statement. He remains in federal custody.
These are allegations. Jean Louis is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
