MILFORD — A boozy 19-year-old smashed a Hyundai Elantra into a Milford utility pole late Thursday — and his runaway pal didn't get far before a four-legged cop sniffed him out at a Prospect Street house, police said.
Luis Guaman Tenezaca, 19, of Milford, was behind the wheel of the gray sedan when it slammed into the pole at 10:47 p.m., leaving the car a mangled mess of front-end damage and one of the three remaining occupants bloodied with head and face injuries, according to Milford Police.

A witness told cops a fourth person bolted from the wreck on foot — but the Milford Police K-9 Unit picked up his scent and tracked him to a home on Prospect Street, authorities said.

Tenezaca was slapped with a six-pack of charges: OUI-liquor or .08 percent, negligent operation, a marked lanes violation, alcohol in a motor vehicle, possession of an open container, and being under 21 in possession of booze.
Milford Fire Department and Coastal Ambulance patched up the injured at the scene before officers cuffed Tenezaca and hauled him away.
