BOSTON — The Department of Homeland Security posted a photo of Fenway Park on Tuesday with a simple caption: "Our nation and our people are worth fighting for."

Boston progressives took it about as well as you'd expect.

For context, this is the same agency that's been pulling convicted child molesters, gang members, and murder fugitives off the streets of Massachusetts all year. Meanwhile, the City of Boston just awarded a grant to an immigrant nonprofit that advertised up to $500 in wellness allowances for yoga, hair salon visits, and massages — before the org returned the money after public backlash. But a photo of Fenway Park with the word "fighting" in it is where people draw the line.
It's a strange hill to die on — and yet, a very Boston one. A city full of $3,500 studio apartments rented by college kids who moved here two years ago and already think they speak for the neighborhood.
