BOSTON — A gunman shot a man multiple times in the South End, ditched his jacket and hat in the street, ducked into a construction site, threw on a hi-vis vest, and walked away.
That was nine days ago. Police still haven't found him.
The shooting happened on Sunday, March 15 at around 7:45 p.m. near the corner of Washington Street and East Berkeley Street — the same day as the South Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade just one neighborhood over. While the city was still winding down from one of its biggest street parties of the year, a man was bleeding on a busy stretch of the South End.

Surveillance footage from the area shows the suspect fleeing, then stopping to toss his jacket and hat on the sidewalk before slipping into a nearby construction site, according to Boston Police. He came out wearing a construction vest and walked off.
