DORCHESTER — A 2-alarm fire tore through the top floor of a three-family home on Harvard Avenue in Dorchester Tuesday night, burning through the roof and displacing 22 people in 27-degree weather, the Boston Fire Department said.
The fire broke out at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the top floor of the occupied building. Flames burned through the roof, prompting a second alarm.
All occupants were safely evacuated from the home, the department said.

Crews knocked down the heavy fire and continued chasing hot spots in the attic.
District Chief Sean Cooney addressed the media at the scene. Twenty-two people were displaced by the fire. No injuries were reported.
The Boston Fire Department's Victim Assistance Unit and the American Red Cross of Massachusetts are assisting those displaced. Firefighters battled the blaze in 27-degree temperatures.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
