BOSTON — A man was shot in the neck at a bus stop in the South End Sunday night as a gunman in a black hoodie fled on foot, leaving behind a crime scene on one of the neighborhood's busiest intersections and a city with zero answers.
The shooting happened around 7:40 p.m. at the corner of Washington Street and East Berkeley Street — a heavily trafficked stretch lined with restaurants, shops, and public transit stops just blocks from the Back Bay.
A passing Uber driver called it in, according to Stacos, a 24-hour Boston police scanner monitor who first reported the details on social media.

The intersection of Washington and East Berkeley sits at the heart of the South End, steps from the MBTA's Silver Line bus route and surrounded by residential buildings and businesses. The area has seen increased foot traffic in recent years as new developments have reshaped the neighborhood.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
This is a developing story.
