HYDE PARK — A Boston firefighter was rushed to the hospital Saturday night after a two-alarm fire ripped across the rooftop of a commercial building at Westinghouse Plaza in Hyde Park, sending flames and thick smoke billowing into the sky as crews scrambled aerial ladders to fight the blaze.
The fire broke out just after midnight at a rear building in the plaza, and the second alarm was struck immediately upon the chief's arrival — a sign of how fast the blaze was spreading.
