MATTAPAN — Boston police are asking for the public's help identifying two people who allegedly drained $19,000 from a single victim in a credit card fraud scheme — and they've released surveillance footage of both suspects.
Detectives assigned to District B-3 say the two individuals are believed to be operating in the Mattapan area, according to a community alert posted Wednesday.
The department did not say how the fraud was carried out, but the victim reported losses totaling $19,000 — a staggering sum for what police describe as a credit card scheme.
