In a follow-up post, the agency added: "ICE Boston continues to work tirelessly to keep our New England communities safe!"
ICE did not provide additional details about where Aguilera was arrested, the nature of his drug distribution conviction, or how long he had been in the country.
The arrest is part of an ongoing wave of immigration enforcement operations across New England. ICE Boston has ramped up arrests in the region in recent months, including a string of high-profile cases involving illegal immigrants with violent criminal histories living freely in Massachusetts.
Earlier this year, the agency arrested an illegal immigrant child molester who had been living openly in the state, and federal authorities charged two alleged Tren de Aragua gang members from Venezuela with running an ATM hacking operation across five New England states.
