BOSTON — Boston police have released surveillance images of a man who allegedly stalked a group of high school students from the Burke School in Roxbury, followed them to a nearby Burger King parking lot, and then whipped out a knife when they turned around and confronted him.
The brazen daylight incident unfolded at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26 at 100 Washington Street, right as students were leaving school for the day, according to a community alert issued by the Boston Police Department.

The man trailed the group of students all the way from the school to the Burger King parking lot on Washington Street, police said. When members of the group turned around and asked what he wanted, the man became agitated, pulled out a knife, and began making threatening gestures toward them.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic or light-skinned male, approximately 5'6" to 5'10" tall. He was wearing a red coat, black pants, black shoes, and a black hat, and was carrying a backpack at the time of the incident. He has not been identified.
The incident marks the second time in a matter of days that police have sounded the alarm over an attack on students in the city. Just this week, Boston police issued a separate community alert seeking help locating a Cambridge man who allegedly assaulted several students near TD Garden during dismissal, then casually walked onto a charter bus full of Celtics fans and tried to steal a bag.
