DORCHESTER — Boston police are asking the public to help identify two juveniles who attacked a pregnant woman in broad daylight on one of Dorchester's busiest streets on Sunday afternoon.

The aggravated assault and battery occurred at approximately 1:02 p.m. on March 1 in the area of 776 Dudley Street, according to a community alert from the Boston Police Department.

Detectives from District B-2 in Roxbury have released surveillance images showing both suspects inside what appears to be a store near the scene. Both are believed to be juveniles who are known to frequent the area.

The suspects

Police described the first suspect as a light-skinned Black female with dyed red hair. The second suspect is described as a medium-skinned Black female, also with dyed red hair.

Additional surveillance images show one of the suspects near a doorway wearing a face mask and dark clothing, while the other was captured on camera wearing what appears to be a patterned onesie or pajama-style outfit.

Police did not release details about the victim's condition or what prompted the attack. The BPD described it as an aggravated assault and battery, a charge that in Massachusetts typically involves serious bodily harm or the use of a dangerous weapon.
