ROXBURY — A shoe store employee on Washington Street did what most people wouldn't — he stepped up when two thieves started cleaning out the store in the middle of a Sunday afternoon.
One of them pulled a knife on him.
Now Boston Police are asking the public to help identify the two suspects, captured on surveillance cameras inside and outside the Snipes store at 2235 Washington Street, after the brazen daylight robbery on February 15.What Happened
At approximately 3:34 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2026, two individuals walked into the Snipes store in Roxbury and began grabbing merchandise off the shelves — sweatshirts, clothing, whatever they could carry.
When an employee confronted the pair, one of the suspects brandished a knife, according to Boston Police. The worker backed off.MASSDAILYNEWS

The two suspects then walked out with armfuls of stolen merchandise and fled toward the Dudley MBTA Bus Station — in broad daylight, in the middle of Roxbury's busiest commercial corridor.
Suspects
BPD released four surveillance images showing both suspects. One is seen wearing a dark hooded jacket over a brown coat and carrying orange and multicolored clothing. The other is wearing a black puffer jacket with a hood and camouflage pants, carrying a large red bundle of stolen goods.
Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) are actively investigating.
