SOUTH END— David Myers, 50, of Mattapan, was arrested on February 9, 2026, during a drug trafficking operation in the South End. Authorities reported that Myers was caught in the act of a street-level drug deal after officers observed suspicious behavior near Massachusetts Avenue and Albany Street.

In a dramatic twist, as officers approached him, Myers allegedly resisted arrest and refused to comply with commands. A search revealed he was carrying 16 plastic bags of fentanyl, approximately 27 grams, along with 8 grams of powder cocaine, 106 suboxone films, a digital scale, and about $663 in cash.

Myers faces a slew of serious charges including trafficking of Class B substance, distribution of Class B substance, and possession with intent to distribute various drugs. If convicted, he could be looking at a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, with arraignment scheduled in Boston Municipal Court.
