BROCKTON— A massive drug bust has landed a Brockton man behind bars after police seized a staggering 586 grams of cocaine, more than $22,000 in cash, and a firearm during multiple search warrants.
Authorities arrested John Britt, 61, following a traffic stop near Lambert Avenue and Bartlett Street, where he was removed from his vehicle alongside a female passenger. A search of Britt revealed crack cocaine and a digital scale, prompting officers to take him into custody. The female passenger was also summonsed for Possession of Class A.

Once in custody, police executed a search warrant at 106 Battles Street in Brockton. The results were explosive: officers recovered a Jennings Model 9 firearm loaded with seven rounds, as well as three rounds of .38 ammunition, drug ledgers, and the staggering amount of $22,039 in cash. Britt now faces serious charges, including Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B and Trafficking of Cocaine.
In a twist, Jarad Britt, 35, also of Brockton, turned himself in to authorities and faces charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Trafficking of Cocaine, 200 grams or more. This shocking arrest highlights the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the region, as Brockton residents grapple with the fallout from this alarming incident.
Authorities reported that both suspects will appear in court to face their charges, underscoring the serious implications of this drug operation.
