Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley joined the chorus of condemnation, labeling the act as "horrific" and demanding accountability. "ICE just murdered a woman in Minnesota in broad daylight," Pressley charged on social media, insisting that the agency has no place in local communities. Senator Ed Markey echoed these sentiments, urging constituents to be furious about the state of affairs, proclaiming, "If you aren't angry, you aren't paying attention."

Around 100 protestors took to the streets near the MBTA's Park Street station, chanting slogans like "Up, up with liberation, down, down with deportation" and carrying signs reading "Stop ICE terror now!" The demonstration, reportedly organized by a democratic-socialist group, marched through Downtown Crossing, calling for an end to what they see as ICE's reign of terror.

As the fallout from the shooting continues, the calls for reform and accountability are growing louder, with advocates demanding an end to ICE’s controversial practices. The situation underscores the escalating tensions surrounding immigration enforcement and the impact of federal actions on local communities.
