According to a post from ICE Boston, agents arrested Hussein Hussein, describing him as a “criminal alien from Somalia.” Federal authorities said Hussein was previously convicted of naturalization and passport fraud, convictions that resulted in his formal denaturalization.
ICE said Hussein is now being held in federal custody pending removal proceedings.
Photos released by the agency show Enforcement and Removal Operations officers taking Hussein into custody during a daytime arrest.
The agency also tagged Nick Shirley — who went viral last month after posting a widely shared video alleging fraud at Minnesota daycare centers that drew national attention, millions of views online and sparked scrutiny from federal and state officials. His work has become a flashpoint in broader discussions about fraud and government spending.
