Massachusetts trio charged after alleged casino robbery plot goes sideways

LINCOLN, R.I. — A late-night casino encounter allegedly spiraled into a knife-point robbery inside a hotel room at Bally’s Hotel Casino, according to a statement released by the Lincoln Police Department.

Police say the incident unfolded in the early morning hours of December 29, 2025, around 1:43 a.m., when officers were dispatched to the casino following a report of a targeted robbery involving what authorities described as a Massachusetts trio.

According to Lincoln Police, the investigation determined that two teenage women approached a male victim on the casino floor and persuaded him to leave the gaming area and accompany them to a private hotel room. Once inside, police say the situation abruptly changed.

Officers allege that a third suspect, a 28-year-old man, was waiting inside the room. Police say he confronted the victim, threatened him with a knife, and robbed him of more than $1,500 in cash. The victim was then allowed to leave and was instructed not to contact authorities, according to police.

The Massachusetts trio was identified by police as 19-year-old Naushka A. Machuca of Marlborough, 19-year-old Tashawna Tuckta-Warner of Boston, and 28-year-old Dominyck S. Sims of Worcester. Lincoln Police say all three suspects were apprehended following what they described as an immediate and coordinated investigation.

According to police, Sims is charged with first degree robbery, conspiracy, weapons other than firearms prohibited, and disorderly conduct. Machuca is charged with first degree robbery, conspiracy, and disorderly conduct. Tuckta-Warner is charged with first degree robbery and conspiracy.

In its statement, the Lincoln Police Department urged the public to remain cautious when interacting with unfamiliar individuals, particularly in late-night entertainment settings, and emphasized its continued commitment to public safety.
