BOSTON — Democrats disregarded safety warnings as Logan Airport was flooded with migrants, according to a brand new Senate report.
A bombshell Senate Commerce Committee report — first highlighted by Fox News— claims Democratic officials in the Biden administration pushed Boston Logan International Airport to house migrants in Terminal E despite repeated warnings that the plan was unsafe and violated aviation rules.
According to the report, Logan officials told the federal government the airport was “not designed or resourced” to manage migrant intake. Investigators say those warnings were brushed aside as Democrats searched for airport facilities nationwide to absorb migrant overflow from the southern border.

The result: 352 migrants were sheltered overnight in Terminal E, flooding the international arrivals hall with people at the same time the terminal was supporting international flights. Fox News reports the incident cost about $779,000 in security, cleaning, overtime, and emergency supplies.
The Senate findings allege that federal transportation officials pressured Logan to “inventory available facilities,” including terminals and hangars, that could be converted into migrant housing. Massport reportedly warned that doing so carried “unintended safety and security consequences,” but investigators say the administration pushed ahead anyway.
Logan’s international terminal is one of the most sensitive areas in the airport, with strict access rules and high security requirements. The report says federal officials ignored concerns that mixing hundreds of unscreened arrivals with international travelers would strain airport policing and TSA operations.
While other cities faced similar pressure, the Logan incident stands out for occurring in a fully active terminal. The Senate report argues that airports should never have been asked to divert federally funded aviation facilities for migrant shelters, calling the decisions reckless and outside normal security protocol.
Massport has not commented on the new findings.
