BOSTON — A knife-wielding woman tore through Dorchester Tuesday evening in a chaotic double crime that police say started inside a corner store and ended with a crashed car and a blade swinging in the street.
According to Boston Police, 31-year-old Jenisteen Tomlinson of Boston first burst into a convenience store at 1112 Blue Hill Avenue around 5:23 p.m., pulled a knife, and tried to grab items before threatening a clerk and running off.

Minutes later, officers say she found her next target just a few doors down — a man fixing the brakes on his car. Tomlinson allegedly jumped behind the wheel, tried to drive off, slammed into another vehicle, and then climbed out swinging the knife at the car’s owner when he tried to stop her.

Police from District B-3 (Mattapan) caught up with her a short time later near 67 Woodrow Avenue, arresting her without further incident. She now faces charges of Armed Robbery, Armed Carjacking, and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
No injuries were reported, but the scene left a dent — literally and figuratively. What began as a petty grab inside a corner store ended with a full-blown car crash and a suspect waving a knife in the street.
