BOSTON—A Boston firefighter has been arrested on chilling charges of child rape and trafficking, as authorities unravel a disturbing pattern of alleged abuse involving a young girl.

James Corbett, 60, of Brockton, was ordered held on $25,000 bail following his arraignment in West Roxbury District Court. He faces a slew of serious accusations, including trafficking a person under 18 for sexual servitude, multiple counts of child rape, and indecent assault and battery on minors. Prosecutors allege the assaults took place over a harrowing span from May 2018 to September 2024.
