DORCHESTER—A two-alarm blaze erupted at a multi-family home on Train Street early Tuesday morning, leading to a dramatic firefighting response and sending one brave firefighter to the hospital.

Around 8:30 a.m., flames erupted from the rear of the second and third stories of the residence at 25 Train St., prompting the Boston Fire Department to quickly escalate the alarm. Despite their heroic efforts, two residents were displaced as firefighters battled the inferno, which caused an estimated $500,000 in damages.
