Rivera, described as a Black male, was charged with Shoplifting and Common and Notorious Thief due to his extensive criminal history of prior larceny convictions. He is expected to face arraignment in Boston Municipal Court, where he will answer for his alleged actions.

This arrest highlights ongoing issues with repeat offenders in the city, raising questions about the effectiveness of current crime prevention strategies. As authorities crack down on theft, the saga of Efrain Rivera serves as a stark reminder that some criminals are determined to keep returning to their old ways.
