BOSTON—Detectives are hot on the trail of a suspect linked to a string of commercial burglaries plaguing the Downtown area. Since mid-August, local businesses have fallen victim to a thief employing a pry tool to break in under the cover of darkness.
Alarming reports indicate that this elusive burglar has not only targeted Downtown establishments but has struck similar locations as far as Cambridge and Northeastern University. The suspect, described as a Black male, sports a beard and often dons a black jacket or hoodie. Eyewitness accounts note a baseball cap featuring distinctive writing and a dark backpack as his signature look.
Items swiped include valuable electronics, credit cards, and cash—leaving business owners reeling from their losses.

Authorities are urging community members with any leads to step forward. "Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact District A-1 Detectives at (617) 343-4571," officials stated.
The pattern of these brazen burglaries raises significant concerns, as businesses are left vulnerable and fearful of falling prey again. With no sign of the suspect being apprehended, the hunt continues in the heart of the city.
