BOSTON— A 69-year-old man from Allston has been arrested for allegedly exposing himself and performing lewd acts in front of children waiting for their school bus at a Mission Hill bus stop.

Jorge Cartagena was taken into custody on Friday after a series of indecent exposure incidents were reported in the vicinity of 835 Huntington Avenue during the morning hours. According to police, these disturbing acts occurred while children were present, raising serious concerns about safety.

Following the incidents, Cartagena reportedly fled the scene on a scooter just moments after the children boarded their bus. He now faces charges of open and gross lewdness and is set to appear in West Roxbury District Court for arraignment.
