DORCHESTER — A Sunday night gun call turned into a full-blown chase through Dorchester after police say two men were caught with stolen firearms — including one converted into a machine gun — and a bag of fentanyl.
According to Boston Police, officers from District C-11 responded around 8:17 p.m. to Alpha Road for reports of two men with guns. When they arrived, they spotted Shawquan Jackson, 35, of Brookline, and Tyreek Woodley, 26, of Dorchester, standing in a stranger’s driveway and unlocking a car that didn’t belong to them.

As officers moved in, Woodley allegedly took off running — ditching his jacket mid-flight. Police caught him moments later, and inside the abandoned coat found a stolen Glock 43 loaded with thirteen rounds, one in the chamber.
At the same time, Jackson was reaching for a fanny pack strapped across his chest. Officers restrained him and found a Glock 17 with an illegal auto sear switch, allowing it to fire fully automatic, along with a plastic bag containing roughly ten grams of fentanyl.

Both suspects were arrested and now face a long list of gun and drug charges, including trafficking fentanyl, possession of a machine gun, and multiple firearm violations. They’re expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
Police said the Glock 43 was confirmed stolen and both weapons were loaded — one ready to fire automatically.
