DARTMOUTH, MA — A petty overnight car break-in in Dartmouth turned into a wild police chase across town — and ended with three Boston men in handcuffs after they allegedly went on a shopping spree with stolen credit cards, racking up nearly $1,800 in Visa gift cards at a Walgreens before getting caught loitering on a college campus.
Police say the trio — Raudy Ramirez-Valdez, 18, Emmanuel Joseph, 19, and Musa Fofana, 19, all from Boston — were spotted on Walgreens surveillance footage casually swiping the stolen cards like seasoned pros.

But their luck ran out fast. Just hours later, Dartmouth officers responded to a trespassing call at UMass Dartmouth — and, in a twist straight out of a crime show, recognized the same suspects from the Walgreens video.
The three were taken into custody on the spot. Cops say stolen property was still on them, linking them directly to the vehicle break-in earlier that morning.
According to police, the alleged ringleader Ramirez-Valdez faces the most serious charges, including receiving stolen property over $1,200, credit card fraud, and possession of liquor under 21. Joseph and Fofana also face a list of felony fraud and trespassing charges.
All three were hauled to the Dartmouth Police Station for booking before being shipped off to New Bedford District Court for arraignment.
Locals were left shaking their heads at how quickly the suspects managed to turn a stolen wallet into a four-figure gift card haul — only to be tripped up within hours on a college campus.
