NORWOOD— Three juveniles have been charged in a brazen armed robbery and shooting that took place earlier this month in Norwood, Massachusetts. The shocking incident unfolded on September 9, when the suspects allegedly lured a victim to Irving Street under the false pretense of a marijuana deal, only to turn on him with a firearm.
As the victim arrived, he was confronted at gunpoint and shot in the lower torso. Miraculously, he survived his harrowing injuries, making a narrow escape from what could have been a fatal encounter.

According to police reports, the trio acted in concert, indicating that this was no random act of violence. Following the crime, Norwood detectives executed a search warrant in the Norwest Woods area, where they uncovered crucial evidence linking the suspects to the shooting.
One juvenile faces a laundry list of serious charges, including armed assault with intent to rob or murder, armed robbery while armed and masked, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, among others. The second suspect is charged with armed assault, robbery, and witness intimidation, while the third is similarly charged, reflecting the severity of their alleged crimes.
Currently, two of the juveniles are in custody and set to face arraignment in Dedham Juvenile Court. However, one remains at large, prompting authorities to intensify their search efforts.
"The Norwood Police Department remains committed to ensuring the safety of the community," said Chief Christopher Padden. "These arrests are the direct result of diligent investigative work."
As the community grapples with this alarming incident, police are urging anyone with information to step forward. The stakes are high, as these juveniles face serious repercussions for their alleged roles in this violent act.
