ROXBURY—Boston Police officers were on high alert after a routine traffic stop spiraled into a shocking gun-related arrest. At approximately 7:33 PM on a recent Saturday, officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force conducted a stop at the busy intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Schuyler Street, igniting a chain of events that would lead to serious charges against 44-year-old Sandley Pierre Louis, hailing from Providence, Rhode Island.
The officers noticed a vehicle sporting Rhode Island registration plates which were later discovered to be canceled and mismatched to a different make and model. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers identified Pierre Louis as the driver, but a closer investigation revealed a more alarming situation: he lacked a valid driver’s license in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
In a dramatic turn, a search of the vehicle revealed a P80 “Ghost Gun,” a type of untraceable firearm, loaded with one round in the chamber and an additional twelve rounds in the magazine hidden near the vehicle's sunroof. The firearm was quickly secured and rendered safe on the scene, ensuring no immediate threat remained. Pierre Louis was promptly placed under arrest and is now facing a slew of serious charges, including:
