Hawaii child rape fugitive arrested in Worcester after police tip-off

Authorities allege that Kuamo`o assaulted a child in Wailuku, Hawaii.

WORCESTER— U.S. Marshals have captured a woman wanted for heinous crimes against children in Hawaii, and reports indicate her capture was the result of a tip-off to local authorities. Coleen Kuamoo, also known as Malama Kuamoo, 43, was arrested after a multi-state manhunt led investigators from the Aloha State all the way to the Bay State.

Kuamo`o faces chilling allegations, including one count of sexual assault in the first degree and three counts of sexual assault in the third degree. Authorities say she allegedly used a computer in the commission of these crimes, which reportedly took place in Wailuku, Hawaii. “Anyone who thinks they can flee across the country to avoid facing justice is mistaken,” said Acting U.S. Marshal for Massachusetts Kevin Neal.

The Maui Police Department tracked her movements and alerted the Massachusetts Marshals Service, leading to her arrest in Worcester. This development underscores a commitment from law enforcement to bring fugitives to justice, no matter where they may hide.

This shocking case is a reminder of the grim realities of child exploitation, as Kuamo`o's alleged actions have left a community reeling back in Hawaii. As this disturbing story unfolds, many are left to wonder what led to such a serious flight from justice and how many lives have been impacted by her alleged crimes. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities will continue to pursue all leads related to her case.
