BOSTON— Four brazen robberies targeting cash registers have sent shockwaves through local businesses in Hyde Park and Roxbury this week. The Boston Police Department is hot on the trail of the suspects behind these alarming thefts, which have unfolded alarmingly close together, creating an atmosphere of fear for store owners.
In each of the reported incidents, the thieves executed a clever ruse, posing as customers before springing into action. When the unsuspecting clerks opened the cash registers, the suspects seized their chance and snatched the cash. Authorities say the suspect was last seen wearing a distinct black puffy jacket with the hood pulled up, black pants, and a black surgical mask—an outfit that may soon become infamous if these criminals are caught.
The locations of these daring heists are as follows: 853 River Street and 59 Fairmount Avenue in Hyde Park, 739 Parker Street in Roxbury, and 186 Heath Street in Jamaica Plain. So far, there have been no reports of weapons being displayed during these incidents, which adds a chilling twist to this already disturbing tale.
