ROXBURY—Boston police are on the hunt for answers after a shocking midday shooting left a 61-year-old woman dead in Roxbury. The victim, identified as Marie Molea-Anthony, was discovered with a gunshot wound near 1855 Washington Street on Monday, October 13, 2025.

Authorities say the call came in around 1:07 PM, and first responders quickly rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, they found Molea-Anthony gravely injured. Despite immediate medical attention, she was pronounced deceased shortly after being transported to a local hospital. The circumstances surrounding this violent incident remain unclear, and the Homicide Unit is actively pursuing leads in the case.
