BOSTON—It took just seconds for a cozy night of shopping to turn into a high-end heist — a woman in leggings and sneakers vanishing with armfuls of Canada Goose jackets, leaving staff stunned and detectives scrambling.

According to the Boston Police Department, the strawberry-haired suspect waltzed into the luxury Canada Goose store at the Prudential Center around 7:24 PM on Sunday, September 7, 2025. She reportedly picked out not one but two of the brand’s coveted parkas — jackets that can fetch well over $1,000 apiece — and asked staff to hold them at the register. Moments later, when employees were distracted, police say she bolted straight for the Boylston Street exit, never looking back.

Boston Police released surveillance stills showing the strawberry-haired suspect inside the Prudential Center’s Canada Goose store, moments before she allegedly bolted with two luxury parkas worth thousands.

The suspect is described as a white female, about 5’7” tall, with strawberry-colored hair. Detectives say she was last seen wearing a cream off-white sweater, black Nike “Just Do It” leggings, white socks, and sneakers with pink soles — an outfit more gym casual than luxury chic, but apparently effective for slipping out with designer loot.

District D-4 detectives are now piecing together surveillance and calling for the public’s help. Anyone with information is urged to contact them at (617) 343-9542. For those who’d rather stay anonymous, Boston Police have set up multiple options: CrimeStoppers at 1-800-494-TIPS, text “TIP” to CRIME (27463), or submit photos and videos online.

The theft adds to a growing headache for Prudential Center retailers, where high-end shops have become prime targets for quick grabs and resales. With winter around the corner, Canada Goose jackets aren’t just warm — they’re status symbols. And until detectives track down this parka bandit, Bostonians may be left wondering if the next luxury haul will vanish right out the door.
