MEDFORD—The feds came knocking in Medford this week, and one MS-13 gangster’s free ride came to a screeching halt.
ICE agents slapped cuffs on Wilfredo Sandoval-Lopez, an illegal alien from El Salvador with convictions for forgery, burglary, and cocaine dealing — basically a one-man crime starter pack. Despite that résumé, Massachusetts Democrats kept him shielded under their beloved “sanctuary” policies, which treat gang members like honored guests and ICE like the villains.

Not this time. ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations unit stormed in with tactical gear and dragged Sandoval-Lopez straight off the block. The photo they released says it all: a stone-faced gangster in shackles, standing in front of an ICE cruiser while an agent in body armor looms beside him. It’s the kind of picture you don’t see in City Hall press releases.
Activists who spend their weekends protesting outside ICE detention centers won’t like it — they prefer chanting slogans about “justice” while defending MS-13 enforcers as misunderstood victims. But Medford families sleeping easier tonight might call it justice too.

While Democrats on Beacon Hill argue about “equity” and Mayor Wu lectures Boston that it’s the “safest city in America,” it’s ICE that’s actually dragging gangsters into custody.
Sandoval-Lopez is now locked up and awaiting deportation. For everyone else? Consider it a reminder that sometimes the only thing standing between you and an MS-13 thug is three big letters: ICE.
