BOSTON—Brazen teen gangs are terrorizing Dorchester and Mattapan, storming bodegas and takeout joints in back-to-back raids that left workers bloodied and business owners shaken.
It started on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Community Convenience on Norfolk Street. Just after 7 p.m., three teenage girls pushed their way behind the counter and attacked two clerks with punches and kicks. As the employees tried to fend them off, the girls ransacked the shelves — making off with vape pens, candy, and tubs of ice cream like it was a free-for-all. The trio then sprinted toward Withington Street, vanishing into the neighborhood.

Two nights later, in the early hours of Thursday, September 4, the same kind of chaos erupted at Maaz’s Chicken on Blue Hill Avenue. Police say three girls in matching black outfits with white lettering spent the night harassing customers before one — with dyed red hair slicked with gel — hopped onto the counter and clawed at the register. Outside, three teenage boys stood guard. When staff moved in, the six bolted down Blue Hill toward Talbot.
Detectives now suspect the same teen crew hit both businesses — striking just 48 hours apart, targeting immigrant-owned shops, and leaving workers on edge.

For many in Dorchester, it’s just the latest sign that Boston’s youth crime crisis is spiraling out of control. Small businesses already struggling with thin margins now find themselves fending off flash mobs of teens treating corner stores like punching bags and candy buffets.
Police have released surveillance images and are pleading for the public’s help to put names to faces before the crew strikes again.
