BOSTON — Dorchester looked like a war movie on Saturday, August 16, 2025, when a helmeted gunman sprayed bullets across Harvard Street, leaving a man riddled with wounds and hauled to the hospital as neighbors ducked for their lives.
The ambush erupted at 4:24 p.m. in the heart of District B-3’s turf. Officers stormed in, finding the victim bleeding out on the sidewalk. Sirens howled, residents scattered, and the block was locked down as cops battled to keep him alive.

The shooter — in a white T-shirt, jeans, and a scooter getaway — tore off into Boston traffic, vanishing toward Walk Hill Street like a two-wheeled outlaw. Detectives have unleashed a citywide manhunt, tearing through leads, combing surveillance, and demanding tips as they hunt the brazen gunman.
And the timing couldn’t be louder: tomorrow is Boston’s preliminary election. With bullets flying and Dorchester residents saying their streets look like a battlefield, the ballot box doubles as a referendum on Michelle Wu. For many, one term of blood and chaos is already too much.
