The half-dozen teens — a mix of boys and girls — charged into the Blue Hill Avenue joint just after 1 a.m., vaulting the counter and shouting demands as startled customers looked on.
But the plan unraveled almost instantly. With no weapon and no real strategy, the unruly crew panicked and fled, leaving shaken staff and spilled fries in their wake.

Boston Police swarmed the block, sirens bouncing off storefronts, but by the time cruisers rolled up the teens had already melted into Dorchester’s backstreets. No arrests were reported.
In the end, the would-be robbers didn’t get cash, food, or glory — they just chickened out.
