But this wasn’t his first visit.
Investigators believe the same man tried to break into the same property just four days earlier, on July 23. He didn’t get in then either — but that hasn’t stopped him from coming back for a second round.
Police describe the suspect as a Black male in his mid-30s, around 5’7” with a slim build. During the most recent incident, he was dressed in all black — hoodie, hat, and likely bad intentions.
The suspect is known to frequent the area,” the department said in a statement.
Detectives from BPD District B-2 (Roxbury) are actively reviewing footage and canvassing the neighborhood for leads. They’re now asking the public for help identifying the man before this turns from attempted break-in to something worse.
If you recognize him — or saw anything suspicious — you’re urged to call District B-2 detectives at (617) 343-4275.
