MBTA Police Hunt Suspect After Bloody Broad Daylight Assault at Chinatown T Station

Victim told driver to “be careful” after near-miss — then got smashed in the face with a bottle.

BOSTON — A near miss in a Chinatown crosswalk turned into a bloody subway assault — and now MBTA Transit Police are asking for help tracking down the man responsible.

It happened around 3PM on July 31. A driver reportedly came close to hitting a pedestrian, who told him to “be careful.” That didn’t go over well.

Instead of moving on, the man allegedly followed the victim into the station and smashed a glass bottle into his face, causing injuries.

In Wu’s Boston, even asking someone to slow down can end with a trip to the ER.

Transit Police have released a surveillance image of the suspect and are asking anyone who recognizes him to call 617-222-1050.
