Just after 2:30AM, officers patrolling near 920 Parker Street spotted a crowd of roughly eighty people blasting music outside the building. Three young males broke away from the group, each repeatedly looking over their shoulders and clutching their waistbands — a red flag police don’t take lightly.
As officers approached, the three took off running. One of them, a 14-year-old juvenile, was chased down and apprehended a block away at 954 Parker Street. Tucked in his waistband, police say, was a Taurus G3 semi-automatic pistol — one round in the chamber, four more in the mag, and a full capacity of seventeen.
The teen was already wanted. Officers discovered two active arrest warrants: one for assault and battery on a police officer, the other for vandalism.
He now faces several new charges in Boston Juvenile Court:
- Carrying a firearm without a license
- Possession of a large-capacity firearm
- Possession of ammunition without an FID card
The arrest is part of a growing pattern in Boston, where gun crimes involving teens are on the rise — and City Hall keeps pretending policy papers can outrun a bullet. While officials roll out pilot programs and host panels, it’s officers are chasing armed 14-year-olds through Roxbury at 2AM and critics say the city’s response has been mostly talk.
